A Black woman with long braids twirls in a desert greenhouse.

Hi, there! I’m a UX Designer and visual artist focused on creating engaging and accessible digital experiences for my users.

With over seven years of non-profit and university education experience, I have strong communication, empathy, and leadership skills. These skills have contributed to my UX Design practice, giving me the knowledge to understand how to connect to my users’ experiences.

I’ve also gained first-hand knowledge of how users of all ages and abilities navigate our rapidly changing digital environment. As an artist, I understand visual design, allowing me to create functional and aesthetically pleasing designs.

If you’re interested in working together, please don’t hesitate to send me an email or connect with me on LinkedIn!

What do I like about UX Design?
I love that it’s like figuring out a puzzle on how to get the user from point A to point B in their digital journey. One of my favorite parts of the process is working on information architecture - I think it’s fun!

My proudest accomplishment from my past experiences?
I successfully transformed and established Art League Houston’s digital presence, creating a cohesive voice that engaged visitors, which was crucial during the pandemic. My tenure led to a new position at the organization, Communications Manager!

What do I focus on in my art?
My art practice focuses on my experience as a Black and biracial woman, drawing inspiration from my family and public archives, self-portraits, and contemporary imagery.

What Do I Enjoy Besides UX Design & Art?

  1. I love to cook and especially love to bake. I find making meringues incredibly calming.

  2. I began learning Japanese in preparation for a family trip to Japan back in 2018, and I’m too far in it to stop learning now.

  3. In D&D (Dungeons & Dragons), I’m a druid main.

  4. I will do everything to avoid enemy battles in video games (see my avoidant strategy in Breath of the Wild).

  5. Pro-mint chocolate chip. It is nowhere close to the flavor of toothpaste.
